Overview

The TPYS Counsellor will work closely with youth and families, providing mental health counselling and support in a culturally safe and therapeutic environment, focusing on trauma-informed practices.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Social Work, Clinical Psychology, or Counselling.
• Experience in the mental health sector, especially with youth.
• Knowledge of trauma-informed counselling techniques.
• Ability to build therapeutic relationships with at-risk youth.
• Sensitivity to diverse client needs.
• Strong organizational and case management skills.
• Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills.
• Valid First Aid/CPR certification.
• Registration with relevant professional bodies.
• Completion of required training in crisis intervention.
