Overview

The Case Counsellor Specialist will assist female-led families in unstable conditions, facilitating their transition to sustainable employment and independent living through various support services.

In Short

• Utilize professional case management practices to assess and develop action plans with clients.
• Coordinate client participation in the Homeward Bound program.
• Ensure clients meet program goals and milestones.
• Liaise with community services for client support.
• Provide advocacy and assist clients in resolving daily living challenges.
• Identify barriers to learning and refer clients to support.
• Respond to emergencies and maintain a caseload.
• Maintain client records and collect statistical data.

Requirements

• Masters of Social Work or related field; BSW candidates with experience considered.
• Registration with the Ontario College of Social Workers preferred.
• Minimum two years of case management experience with women facing homelessness or violence.
