Overview

The Business Development Manager’s primary role is to find and take advantage of opportunities to grow Wood’s business, in line with our global and BU strategic plans.

In Short

  • Winning new business and supporting growth targets including revenue and client relationships.
  • Development and management of the opportunity funnel across multiple sectors.
  • Coordinating with other BDMs and execution centres to exploit opportunities.
  • Identifying complementary skillsets and relationships for competitive positioning.
  • Supporting positioning, business strategies, and acquisition pursuits.
  • Ensuring consistency with Wood’s processes and strategic goals.
  • Utilizing market knowledge to assess risks and win probabilities.
  • Making No Pursuit/Bid recommendations when necessary.

Requirements

  • Experience in business development or a related field.
  • Strong client relationship management skills.
  • Ability to manage opportunity funnels effectively.
  • Understanding of strategic planning processes.
  • Proficient in risk assessment and management.
