The Nuclear Medicine Technologist performs clinical and research diagnostic and therapeutic molecular imaging protocols, ensuring patient safety and effective communication with healthcare providers.

  • Conduct Computed Tomography as part of SPECT/PET exams.
  • Observe radiation safety techniques and patient care guidelines.
  • Assist in the training of new hires and students.

  • Administer radiopharmaceuticals and perform quality control testing.
  • Maintain patient data and archive images according to hospital requirements.
  • Participate in continuing education and stay updated on industry trends.
  • Adhere to Nuclear Medicine Technologist Scope of Practice standards.
  • Work flexible shifts and on-call responsibilities as needed.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree in Diagnostic Imaging required.
  • Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT/ARRT-N Certification) required.
  • Radiologic Technologist (Nuclear Medicine - MA License) required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS Certification) within 90 days.
  • Good communication and evaluation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and guide others.
  • Physical ability to perform tasks related to the role.
  • Knowledge of sterile medication and radiopharmaceutical preparation.
  • Ability to calculate patient dosage based on established guidelines.
  • Commitment to continuous education and professional development.
