The Clinic/Practice Assistant II plays a vital role in supporting clinical service operations by performing both administrative and clinical functions under general supervision.

In Short

  • Perform routine administrative and clerical duties related to clinical services.
  • Make patient appointments and maintain appointment records.
  • Greet and assist patients during their visits.
  • Answer telephones and assist callers with inquiries.
  • Process patient billing forms and manage medical records.
  • Act as a 'Super User' for scheduling and billing systems.
  • Provide assistance and training to colleagues.
  • Handle messages related to prior authorizations and prescription refills.
  • May perform more complex scheduling tasks at advanced competency levels.
  • Work in a supportive team environment to enhance patient care.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
  • 2-3 years of office experience required.
  • Proficiency with Office Suite and understanding of office operations.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to manage time and multiple tasks effectively.
  • Knowledge of patient scheduling and billing processes preferred.
  • Ability to handle non-routine phone calls and inquiries.
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail are essential.
  • Certification as a Medical Administrative Assistant preferred.
  • Ability to follow established protocols and work within systems.
