Overview

The Patient Access Representative is responsible for reviewing, verifying, and updating patient demographic and insurance information, while acting as a liaison between clinics and patients.

In Short

  • Review and correct registration-related issues.
  • Interact with patients via phone, email, and in person.
  • Confirm and update demographic and insurance information.
  • Direct patients seeking financial assistance to Financial Coordinators.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding patient matters.
  • Assist internal customers to ensure patient satisfaction.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Work in a business casual environment.
  • Requires sitting for long periods and typing.
  • Part-time per diem position.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Background in medical terminology and accounts receivable is helpful.
