Patient Access Representative I - Remote

Overview

As a Patient Access Rep with Sentara, you will work in Patient Registration for the Emergency Department and/or various registration areas of the hospital. This position's primary duties include positively identifying the patient, collecting demographic and insurance information, and admitting the patients. This role allows you to work with both clinical and non-clinical staff.

Requirements

• High School Graduate or Equivalent
• 2 years of Customer Service and/or Data Entry experience
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in lieu of experience
• Proficiency in keyboarding
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Experience with insurance verification is a plus
• Willingness to learn and adapt
• Detail-oriented approach
