Overview

Saint Luke’s in Kansas City is seeking a Patient Accounts Representative to join our team. You will perform a variety of functions related to managing accounts, customer service, and troubleshooting while following established processes and policies for billing and reimbursement.

In Short

  • Responsible for answering inbound patient calls
  • Answer patient emails in Electronic Medical Record system
  • Making outbound collection calls to patients
  • Provide price estimates for patients
  • Process credit card payments and establish payment plans
  • Identify patients needing financial assistance
  • Research and troubleshoot issues related to patient balances
  • Perform straightforward coding related to billing implications
  • Meet department productivity and quality metrics
  • Identify opportunities to improve patient satisfaction

Requirements

  • 1 year of applicable experience
  • Diploma required
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong computer and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to multitask
  • Comfortable working in a call center environment
