Overview

Saint Luke’s in Kansas City is seeking a Patient Accounts Representative to join our team. You will perform a variety of functions related to managing accounts, customer service, and troubleshooting while following established processes and policies for billing and reimbursement.

In Short

Responsible for answering inbound patient calls
Answer patient emails in Electronic Medical Record system
Making outbound collection calls to patients
Provide price estimates for patients
Process credit card payments and establish payment plans
Identify patients needing financial assistance
Research and troubleshoot issues related to patient balances
Perform straightforward coding related to billing implications
Meet department productivity and quality metrics
Identify opportunities to improve patient satisfaction

Requirements

1 year of applicable experience
Diploma required
Excellent customer service skills
Strong computer and critical thinking skills
Ability to multitask
Comfortable working in a call center environment
