Environmental Program Manager - Remote

Overview

This role leads the development and continuous improvement of environmental programs developed by the Engineering Science and Wastewater Treatment (ES&WWT) Program. The responsibilities include building and enhancing the Wastewater Treatment program framework and elements to address process improvement needs, changes in environmental regulations and promotion of a continued strong environmental culture within the organization.

In Short

• Monitor for changes in federal environmental regulatory requirements.
• Assist in development of environmental policies, directives, standards and guidance.
• Continually improve and manage Information Services for compliance assurance.
• Develop and enhance existing environmental training programs.
• Provide technical and regulatory assistance to field operations.
• Develop and execute routine communications with management.
• Coordinate activities of internal and external staff for environmental solutions.
• Assist with establishing policy, procedures, training and guidance.
• Manage research activities on environmental problems.
• Work under the direction of the Director of ES&WWT.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Engineering, Environmental Management, Biology, Chemistry or similar.
• 7 years of industrial wastewater treatment design and operations experience.
• 3 years of management responsibility.
• Certifications and/or PE license preferred.
• Familiarity with MS Office.
• Specific experience in environmental engineering and solutions.
• Ability to articulate professionally to technical experts.
• Capable of multi-tasking in an ever-changing setting.
• Establish and support a safety culture.
