Overview

The Accounts Payable Supervisor oversees the Supplier Data and Disbursement teams, ensuring efficient onboarding of new suppliers and accurate disbursement processes while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

In Short

  • Supervises the Supplier Data and Disbursement teams.
  • Implements strategies for quality supplier data management.
  • Ensures prompt and accurate payment of invoices.
  • Generates reports and verifies processing accuracy.
  • Assists with internal and external audits.
  • Facilitates training and upskilling of staff.
  • Identifies opportunities for process improvement.
  • Communicates effectively with internal and external partners.
  • Responsible for direct supervision of 7 employees.
  • Works in an office setting with remote flexibility on Fridays.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field or equivalent experience.
  • 5-7 years of relevant experience in accounts payable.
  • Experience with Coupa, Oracle, Excel, and PowerPoint preferred.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
  • Experience in Finance Shared Services is a plus.
  • Must be authorized to work in the US.
  • Must be located in the Houston area; no relocations.
  • Preferred knowledge of general accounting practices.
