Legal Counsel - Remote

Overview

This is an exciting opportunity to join a fun, supportive and high-functioning legal team as we expand our legal team in the Asia Pacific region. We are looking for a talented and creative attorney who is passionate about working on sophisticated contracts and closing deals, and comfortable in a collaborative environment that minimizes hierarchy.

In Short

• Be a legal business partner to Wiz’s revenue teams in Japan, Singapore, India and Australia.
• Take ownership of the drafting, review, negotiation, and management of a wide range of legal agreements.
• Seek to understand the context of the positions of Wiz’s customers and internal clients.
• Triage a heavy workflow, setting appropriate priorities with internal clients.
• Support the continuous improvement of agreement templates and legal processes.
• Manage agreements that comply with company policies and risk tolerance.

Requirements

• 6+ years of transaction experience with an emphasis on commercial contracts.
• Experience in negotiating SaaS contracts with customers in Japan, Singapore, India or Australia.
• Fluent in Japanese and English.
• Knowledge of data privacy and experience in handling related questions.
• Admitted to the bar and in good standing in Japan, Singapore, India or Australia.
• Strong “business-friendly” style.
• Ability to structure, draft and negotiate a high volume of contracts.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently on a remote basis.
• Experience with Salesforce, Slack, DocuSign, and contract lifecycle management systems.
