Middle Office and Risk Director - Remote

Overview

The Middle Office and Risk Director is responsible for providing daily PnL and commodity position reports, ensuring effective risk management, and collaborating with various teams to develop pricing models.

In Short

• Provide daily PnL and commodity position reports
• Ensure commercial transactions and risks are captured
• Liaise with Front Office & Finance for pricing models
• Verify forward curves marked by the Front Office
• Assess positions against market risk limits
• Perform routine VaR analyses and stress tests
• Reconcile commodity clearing accounts
• Assist with technology initiatives and reporting improvements
• 10+ years of experience in commodity Middle Office or Risk Management
• Advanced Excel and MS/SQL proficiency required

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Mathematics, or similar
• 10+ years’ experience in commodity Middle Office or Risk Management
• Deep understanding of natural gas and power trading
• Experience with trading and risk management systems
• Advanced Excel proficiency including VBA
• Advanced knowledge of MS/SQL
• Python experience preferred
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Comfortable working remotely if required
