VoIP Specialist - Remote

Overview

Whippy is seeking a VoIP Specialist to become the company’s go-to expert for cloud telephony, voice infrastructure, and VoIP implementations. This role is remote and open to LATAM-based candidates.

• Own VoIP end-to-end across the organization.
• Lead VoIP onboarding and rollout projects.
• Manage number porting strategy and execution.
• Support migrations from legacy VoIP systems.
• Create and maintain VoIP documentation and training.
• Act as the technical voice expert on sales conversations.
• Maintain awareness of the VoIP and cloud communications landscape.

Requirements

• Strong foundation in VoIP and cloud telephony.
• Experience with carriers and cloud telephony platforms.
• Hands-on experience with number porting.
• Comfortable configuring IVR and call flows.
• Familiarity with hard phones, softphones, and basic networking.
• Strong documentation and training skills.
• Highly organized and proactive.
• Experience in communications-focused SaaS roles.
• Ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
• 2+ years in VoIP or technical customer support roles.
