Provider Network Contract Manager - Remote

Overview

As a Provider Network Contract Manager, you will drive initiatives that support the development, innovation and maintenance of Wellmark's Health Care Network Contracting strategy for Commercial and Government programs.

In Short

• Lead the development and negotiation of health care provider contracts.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather data and insights.
• Build and maintain relationships with health care organizations.
• Analyze data to design and recommend contract strategies.
• Communicate effectively with providers regarding contract initiatives.
• Support division-wide communications for provider contracting.
• Assist with contract research for audit and compliance.
• Complete network adequacy reviews annually.
• Work in a hybrid schedule with at least 3 days in the office.
• Proven ability to thrive in a dynamic environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience.
• 4+ years of managed care or health care provider negotiation experience.
• Strong negotiation and relationship management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Proactive self-starter with effective time management skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to travel as needed.
