Data Engineer – Tech Lead - Remote

Overview

Webbing is looking for a Data Engineer – Tech Lead to join the R&D team. You will play a key role in building from scratch the data-lake and data warehouse, learning and mastering new technologies to help define the next generation of the product.

In Short

• Take full responsibility for data modelling, ETL processes, and AI.
• Develop and implement new features that directly impact our customers.
• Gather and refine specifications and requirements based on technical needs.
• Stay plugged into emerging technologies/industry trends and apply them into operations and activities.
• At least 4 years of experience with Python – a must.
• Experience with AWS cloud services: S3, Glue, EMR, Kinesis, Athena, Redshift – a must.
• Strong knowledge with Microsoft SQL Server – a must.
• BSc in software engineering/ computer science/ equivalent - a must.
• Experience with .NET (6 / 7 / 8).
• Experience with event-driven architecture.

Requirements

• Experience in working with microservices, and docker.
• Git Source Control Management.
• An eagerness for building highly resilient and scalable systems with cutting-edge technology.
• Self-motivated, autodidact with the ability to work independently and prioritize.
