Overview

Wealthsimple is seeking a Payments Regulatory Compliance Manager to oversee compliance with payment regulations and support the growth of our Compliance team.

In Short

• Lead compliance programs related to payments regulations.
• Oversee day-to-day compliance controls for Banking and Credit Card programs.
• Serve as a subject-matter expert for payments regulation.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Operations teams.
• Draft and maintain compliance policies and procedures.
• Support regulatory reporting and audit readiness.
• Identify compliance risks for payment program enhancements.
• Utilize automation tools to streamline compliance execution.
• Contribute to internal training on payment regulations.
• Work cross-functionally to scale compliance programs.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in payments compliance or regulatory risk.
• Strong understanding of Canadian payments regulation.
• Experience with card or prepaid programs.
• Excellent communication and project management skills.
• Familiarity with compliance automation tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
