Overview

The Employer Engagement Coordinator is responsible for developing and maintaining partnerships with employers to create sustainable employment opportunities for job seekers. This role involves planning and executing events, managing employer relationships, and providing exceptional customer service.

In Short

• Plan, promote, and execute employer engagement events.
• Manage employer referrals and conduct needs analysis.
• Oversee the job vacancy sharing process.
• Develop strategic employer accounts.
• Provide training and coaching to Job Developers.
• Ensure high customer service standards.
• Build a reputable employment program.
• Transition job vacancies to filled positions.
• Utilize WCG’s Case Management System and other databases.
• Support resolution of client complaints.

Requirements

• Experience in workforce development and employer needs assessment.
• Ability to work in an outcomes/target-based environment.
• Strong customer service and relationship management skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Word.
• Excellent organizational and administrative skills.
• Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proven event management capabilities.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Knowledge of local labor market trends.
• Bilingual in English and French preferred.
