Overview

The Coordinator, Community Engagement provides essential administrative and project support to the Senior Director and Director of Community Engagement at Big Brothers Big Sisters of America, assisting in initiatives designed to ensure every young person has access to transformative mentoring experiences.

In Short

  • Provide administrative support, including managing calendars and scheduling meetings.
  • Assist in planning and coordinating community engagement projects and events.
  • Support tracking and management of project milestones and deliverables.
  • Maintain organized databases and documentation.
  • Draft and coordinate internal and external communications.
  • Facilitate communication between affiliates and the Community Engagement team.
  • Manage procurement and budgetary activities.
  • Support the development of community engagement resources and materials.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in administrative support or project coordination.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated initiative and adaptability.
  • Ability to collaborate within cross-functional teams.
  • Commitment to outstanding customer service.
