Sales Market Manager - Southern California - Remote

Overview

The Sales Market Manager will be responsible for growing the regional presence of Vital Farms in Southern California by building relationships with retailers and managing key accounts.

In Short

• Visit regional independent retailers to build relationships and provide customer-first solutions.
• Manage headquarter sales calls for key customers in Southern California.
• Build and maintain rapport with distributors and identify new customer opportunities.
• Create and execute a trade promotion calendar for key customers.
• Provide accurate forecasts for demand and promotional trade spend.
• Conduct retail level store checks to ensure execution of initiatives.
• Attend trade shows to represent the brand and develop sales opportunities.
• Manage the entire portfolio of ethically produced products.
• Collaborate with business development and category teams.
• Travel approximately 50% of the time within Southern California.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) preferred.
• 3+ years of grocery sales and account management experience.
• Experience with Natural and Key Accounts in Southern California.
• Prior exposure to trade management including forecasting and promotions.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and trade management software.
• Established relationships with key retailer accounts and distributors.
• Working knowledge of SPINS, IRI, Nielsen, and other data platforms.
• Must live in Southern California and have a valid driver’s license.
• Broker management experience required.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment.
