Senior Financial Reporting Analyst - Remote

Overview

The Senior Financial Reporting Analyst will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of Vital Farms’ external financial reporting, including SEC filings, technical accounting assessments, and compliance with internal and external audits.

In Short

• Prepare and support quarterly and annual SEC filings (10-Q, 10-K, 8-Ks, Proxy Statements).
• Collaborate with external auditors to support the annual audit and quarterly reviews.
• Monitor and document the impact of new accounting standards and SEC regulations.
• Assist in preparation of internal reporting packages for executive leadership.
• Partner with various departments to ensure consistency in messaging and disclosures.
• Participate in the development of internal controls related to financial reporting.
• Drive process improvements and automation opportunities.
• Assist with compliance for internal and external audits.
• Engage in special projects related to corporate development initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA strongly preferred.
• 4+ years of relevant experience in public accounting and/or SEC reporting.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, SEC regulations, and internal controls (SOX).
• Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to travel 10-15% for team meetings and conferences.
• Advanced Excel skills; experience with Workiva, NetSuite, or similar platforms.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• A collaborative spirit and proactive mindset.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
