Field Service Representative - Remote

Overview

The Field Service Representative (FSR) will provide on-site support for advanced ophthalmic and optical systems, ensuring high-level technical assistance and customer satisfaction.

In Short

• Install, repair, and maintain ophthalmic equipment
• Deliver on-site troubleshooting and technical support
• Maintain service documentation and parts inventory
• Communicate effectively with customers and teams
• Identify workflow improvements and sales opportunities
• Mentor new Field Service Representatives
• Must be computer literate (Windows, MS Office)
• Extensive travel (80-90%) required
• Home base must be in Pennsylvania
• Training provided for optics and ophthalmic equipment

Requirements

• Associate degree in a technical field or equivalent experience
• 2+ years in field service or technical support
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
• Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings
• Basic IT experience
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities
• Must be able to lift up to 80 lbs.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Willingness to travel throughout the U.S.
• Experience with optics is a plus
