Overview

This position is for an SRE Support Engineer who will support internal developers using a compute platform, focusing on Kubernetes, containers, and Linux troubleshooting.

In Short

  • Support internal customers using the compute platform.
  • High-touch white-glove onboarding.
  • Engage in deep technical troubleshooting.
  • Act as the first line of engineering support for Kubernetes and container-related issues.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues across Kubernetes workloads and Docker containers.
  • Write clear technical tickets and documentation.
  • Collaborate with SRE, Platform, and Engineering teams.
  • Uphold a strong emphasis on detail and quality.
  • Contribute to building tools and processes for support efficiency.
  • Work independently with distributed teams.

Requirements

  • Strong Linux fundamentals and networking skills.
  • Hands-on Kubernetes experience.
  • Strong Docker/containerization expertise.
  • Experience in production support for large-scale systems.
  • Ability to write and understand Python scripts.
  • Exceptional written and spoken English.
  • Highly organized with attention to detail.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or similar discipline preferred.
  • Experience supporting private cloud or internal platform teams preferred.
