Overview

The Montreal Book Fair is currently seeking a Communications Manager for its 48th edition, which will take place in November 2025. This is a temporary position until April 30, 2026, with the possibility of renewal.

In Short

  • Develop and implement the communication strategy for the Montreal Book Fair.
  • Ensure consistency of messages across various channels.
  • Coordinate with external partners (agencies, sponsors).
  • Produce content for various platforms.
  • Enhance the visibility of the Fair among the public and media.
  • Work closely with internal teams to maintain a strong and inclusive image.
  • Manage media relations and influencer strategies.
  • Oversee content quality and inclusivity.
  • Support the general management in public engagements.
  • Encourage a collaborative work environment.

Requirements

  • University degree in communication or related field.
  • Minimum five years of experience in communication, with at least two in team coordination or management.
  • Experience in event communication.
  • Knowledge of cultural sectors and the book industry in Quebec.
  • Strong command of French and good knowledge of English.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects.
  • Proficiency with digital tools (Google Workspace, Asana, Mailchimp, CMS).
  • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience in managing partnerships is a plus.
  • Autonomy and initiative in a collaborative environment.
