Overview

Velo3D is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our team, responsible for developing advanced tools for 3D printing applications, enabling true design freedom and supporting innovative engineering solutions.

In Short

Develop geometric and physics-based tools to predict and prevent build issues.
Optimize surface defects through geometric procedures.
Create a library of robust operations on 3D surface meshes.
Implement concurrent operations in the GUI.
Work with cross-platform C++ tools for 3D printing.
Analyze and visualize data to detect potential issues.
Collaborate closely with metal 3D printing process developers.
Engage in modern development practices including CI and static analysis.
Travel up to 10% of the time.
Must be a US Citizen or Green Card Holder due to ITAR requirements.

Requirements

BS or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or Applied Math.
3+ years of programming experience.
1+ years of experience in C++ on any platform.
Familiarity with computational geometry concepts.
Good communication skills.
