Overview

Velo3D is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our team, responsible for developing advanced tools for 3D printing applications, enabling true design freedom and supporting innovative engineering solutions.

In Short

• Develop geometric and physics-based tools to predict and prevent build issues.
• Optimize surface defects through geometric procedures.
• Create a library of robust operations on 3D surface meshes.
• Implement concurrent operations in the GUI.
• Work with cross-platform C++ tools for 3D printing.
• Analyze and visualize data to detect potential issues.
• Collaborate closely with metal 3D printing process developers.
• Engage in modern development practices including CI and static analysis.
• Travel up to 10% of the time.
• Must be a US Citizen or Green Card Holder due to ITAR requirements.

Requirements

• BS or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or Applied Math.
• 3+ years of programming experience.
• 1+ years of experience in C++ on any platform.
• Familiarity with computational geometry concepts.
• Good communication skills.
