Tax Director, North America - Remote

Overview

Parsons is seeking a Tax Director for North America to manage all aspects of income tax for the company, focusing on compliance, reporting, and strategic tax planning.

In Short

• Oversee income tax financial reporting and compliance.
• Develop tax strategies to minimize liabilities.
• Lead a team of Tax Managers, Analysts, and Accountants.
• Convey complex tax concepts to leadership.
• Manage tax audits and disputes.
• Collaborate with external advisors on M&A tax issues.
• Identify tax optimization opportunities.
• Prepare and file tax returns for the U.S. and Canada.
• Ensure compliance with all tax laws.
• Work in a hybrid arrangement in Southern California.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics.
• 15+ years of relevant tax experience.
• Experience with ASC 740 for multinational corporations.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Exceptional written communication skills.
• Good understanding of SOX section 404.
• Experience with R&D tax credits preferred.
• CPA preferred.
• Ability to draft clear and concise reports.
