Tax Manager - Remote

Overview

As the Tax Manager at Vanta, you will oversee tax compliance in various jurisdictions, ensuring the company's tax obligations are met efficiently and accurately while collaborating with internal teams.

In Short

• Lead the reconciliation of all tax-related accounts.
• Manage indirect taxes including VAT, GST, and sales tax.
• Oversee preparation and filing of sales tax returns.
• Assist in managing tax audits with proper documentation.
• Support preparation of tax-related financial reports.
• Collaborate with external tax providers for compliance.
• Provide tax advice to support business decisions.
• Continuously improve tax accounting processes.
• Implement best practices for tax compliance.
• Perform additional duties related to tax accounting.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in tax accounting.
• Experience with indirect taxes like sales tax and VAT.
• Strong understanding of tax accounting principles.
• Experience with financial software (Netsuite) and Excel proficiency.
• Familiarity with sales tax reporting software (Anrok, Avalara).
