Tax Manager - Remote

Overview

Our client is seeking a full-time Tax Manager for their Westport, MA office. This hybrid position allows for two remote workdays per week and offers a balance between professional growth and flexibility.

In Short

• Prepare and review tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and trusts.
• Research tax regulations and stay up to date on changes in tax laws.
• Communicate with clients regarding tax and accounting matters, providing expert guidance.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and service.
• Respond to inquiries from the IRS, state, and other tax authorities.
• Mentor and develop professional staff, providing performance feedback and guidance.
• Contribute to the firm's growth through strong client service and team collaboration.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 5+ years of tax return experience in public accounting.
• CPA or Enrolled Agent (EA) certification required.
• Experience working directly with clients in tax preparation and review.
• Strong ability to work collaboratively within a team.
• Experience with QuickBooks and Drake Tax preferred.
• Payroll experience is a plus.
