Director, US Government Affairs - Remote

Overview

As Vanta’s Director, US Government Affairs, you will drive the development and execution of Vanta’s Federal, State, and Local government relations agenda, engaging with internal teams to implement a government affairs strategy.

In Short

• Develop and maintain relationships with Congressional staff and regulatory decision-makers.
• Collaborate with internal teams to shape outreach and raise awareness about Vanta's impact.
• Anticipate and identify key legislation and communicate implications to internal stakeholders.
• Work with business and engineering leads to develop policy positions and draft legislative language.
• Conduct research and generate communications materials as needed.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience working with US Congress or Federal agencies.
• Strong expertise in cybersecurity, AI, and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to expand networks across the US Federal government.
• Interest in understanding technology driving Vanta's products.
• Ability to work closely with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Nice-to-haves include experience with trade associations and a portfolio of written policy work.
