Director of Mergers and Acquisition - Remote

Valsoft is looking for a talented, versatile, and passionate M&A Director to continue our global expansion.

In Short

• Identify M&A targets that align with Valsoft’s growth objectives.
• Employ a proactive approach to reach out to potential targets.
• Evaluate and assess target acquisitions against Valsoft's criteria.
• Conduct comprehensive pre-acquisition due diligence.
• Negotiate deal terms to achieve significant acquired revenues.
• Manage and execute the due diligence process.
• Build relationships with software business owners and brokers.
• Possess strong business development and financial analysis skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with potential to manage a team.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, or related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in Investment banking, private equity, M&A, or corporate development.
• Strong financial analysis skills, including building financial models.
• CFA or CIIA is an asset.
• Familiarity with a buy and build model and VMS or software is an asset.
• Strong interpersonal skills for building long-term relationships.
• Growth mindset and thirst for learning about diverse industries.
• Entrepreneurial mindset for navigating challenges independently.
• Legally authorized to work in Canada.
