Overview

The Senior Payroll Administrator is responsible for all activities necessary to process payroll, including maintaining related records, depositing taxes and related reports, processing deductions, posting accounting transactions, and documenting procedures.

In Short

  • Prepares and processes biweekly and off-cycle payrolls and produces related payroll reports.
  • Runs standard payroll reports and writes custom payroll reports and queries.
  • Provides exceptional customer service and support to all users of Kronos.
  • Leads the payroll and scheduling aspects of Kronos implementations and upgrades.
  • Prepares documentation for financial audits and other reporting requirements.
  • Prepares the annual PTO budget.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge through continuous learning.
  • Role models the principles of a Just Culture and Organizational Values.
  • Must be HIPAA compliant.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum of five years payroll administrator and accounting experience required.
  • Hospital payroll experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll policies, procedures, and federal/state statutes.
  • Ability to research and analyze regulatory updates.
  • Must work independently and prioritize workload accurately.
  • Must work as part of a team with a strong sense of urgency.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and employee trust.
  • Significant experience with software testing and implementation.
