Site Utilities Coordinator - Remote

Overview

The Site Utilities Coordinator is responsible for the safe, compliant, and reliable operation and delivery of site-wide utilities to manufacturing and support buildings across the Cottage Grove campus.

In Short

• Lead planning and execution of work on site utility systems.
• Responsible for developing and implementing site utility renewal projects.
• Act as the liaison between 3M and utility providers.
• Maintain site energy metrics and advocate for continuous improvement.
• Support utility billing invoice allocations and corporate energy reporting.
• Be on-call for questions/issues with distributed utilities.
• Coordinate monitoring and response to utility alarms.
• Work with site departments to prioritize maintenance and equipment renewal.
• Submit Engineering Work Requests and Shop Work Orders.
• Ensure compliance with U.S. Export Control Laws.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in science or engineering or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of seven years in engineering/manufacturing.
• Three years of experience in Utilities, Facilities, or Equipment.
• Master's degree in electrical or mechanical studies preferred.
• Five years of experience in Utilities or Energy Management preferred.
• Effective communication skills.
• Comfortable with Microsoft applications.
• Experience with project management and equipment reliability.
• Knowledge of steam systems and natural gas.
• Ability to work in compliance with corporate policies and security standards.
