Overview

The Sr. Business Development Manager is responsible for increasing sales by actively selling solutions and driving the acquisition and expansion of high-value accounts to Cell Discovery customers.

  • Responsible for increasing sales and managing the full sales cycle.
  • Owns the acquisition and expansion of high-value accounts.
  • Forecasts and delivers on monthly and annual sales targets.
  • Identifies and develops new and current customers.
  • Demonstrates advanced understanding of the Bioscience Cell and Drug Discovery portfolio.
  • Records activities in the CRM database.
  • Travels 30% of the time for business.
  • Leads innovative processes to enhance commercial team performance.
  • Communicates key market trends and customer insights.
  • Collaborates cross-functionally within the organization.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in Sales/Business Development in the Life Sciences industry.
  • Previous business development experience in the San Francisco area.
  • Knowledge of cell biology, microbiology, molecular biology, and/or biochemistry preferred.
  • Core selling skills including consultative selling and technical selling.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a customer-facing attitude.
  • Ability to build long-term relationships based on trust.
  • Leadership skills and experience in driving teams to achieve results.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to adapt and self-motivate.
  • Willingness to travel for business.
