Group Product Manager, Data Platform - Remote

Overview

Uplight is creating a new category of energy. We make software that manages energy resources in homes and businesses—including things like smart thermostats, electric vehicles, solar panels, storage batteries, heat pumps, and even people’s behavior—to generate, shift, or save energy to balance the grid, making it more efficient and reliable. This creates clean energy capacity that can be used by the power grid instead of burning more fossil fuels. Our solutions accelerate the transition to clean energy and save money for energy customers.

In Short

• Own the Data Platform end-to-end, with accountability for strategy execution, roadmap delivery, and outcomes.
• Report to the VP of Product and operate as the senior product owner for platform capabilities.
• Lead a team of product managers.
• Balance strategic ownership with hands-on delivery leadership.
• Partner closely with cross-functional leaders while maintaining clear product accountability.

Requirements

• 7 to 10 years of Product Management experience.
• Hands-on technical background or extensive experience partnering closely with engineering and data teams.
• Proven experience with data platforms, ingestion systems, analytics and BI, governance, machine learning enablement, and developer tooling.
• Strong communication skills and comfort operating in fast-moving, evolving environments.
• Experience in energy, SaaS, data, or adjacent technology domains is preferred.
