Senior Medical Coder, Inpatient - Remote

Overview

The Senior Medical Coder will accurately code hospital inpatient accounts to ensure appropriate reimbursement and compliance with federal and state regulations.

• Fully remote position with 10-hour shifts from Thursday to Sunday.
• Under supervision, codes inpatient accounts for reimbursement and compliance.
• Acts as a clinical coding subject matter expert.

Requirements

• High School graduate or equivalent; formal ICD-10 training preferred.
• Three years of ICD-10 coding experience with Level 1 Trauma hospitals.
• Certification as CCS, RHIT, RHIA, or CIC required.
• Ability to prioritize workloads and solve problems independently.
• Familiarity with basic medical terminology.
• Strong typing ability and computer experience.
