Overview

The Retention Coordinator will oversee the operations of the Nexus Lounge, supervise student workers, and support outreach initiatives aimed at enhancing student retention and engagement.

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the Nexus Lounge
• Supervise Help Desk Student Workers
• Support broader retention outreach initiatives
• Provide leadership and guidance to student staff

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
• At least one year of experience in higher education or student services
• Experience with academic retention or advising preferred
• Supervisory experience in any setting
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to work minimal evenings and weekends
• Familiarity with staff scheduling and time management software
• Proficient in documenting and evaluating program outcomes
• Ability to build trust and maintain effective working relationships
• Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
