Loan Officer - Remote

Overview

The primary function of the Loan Officer is to sell loan products offered by Universal Lending Corporation to buyers of New Home Co.

In Short

• Build rapport with sales agents and maintain a positive sales environment.
• Complete thorough loan applications and obtain necessary information.
• Perform prequalification assessments and analyses of financial conditions.
• Negotiate loan rates, terms, and conditions.
• Submit complete loan applications and coordinate with processing centers.
• Assist with issues relating to processing, underwriting, and closing of loans.
• Maintain knowledge of the financial industry and compliance regulations.
• Project professionalism and integrity while striving for teamwork.
• Must have an active state MLO license or be willing to obtain additional licenses.
• Minimum 5 years lending origination experience preferred.

Requirements

• Active state MLO license.
• High school diploma or GED required; 4-year college degree preferred.
• Minimum 5 years lending origination experience.
• Working knowledge of Encompass or other LOS systems.
• Proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to plan for contingencies and anticipate problems.
• Excellent negotiation and customer service skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to foster strong partnerships with builders and customers.
• Ability to ensure customer satisfaction throughout the sales process.
