Loan Closer - Remote

Overview

The Loan Closer is responsible for preparing loan closing documents according to state and/or federal regulations and ensuring loans close in accordance with Underwriter’s approval and Universal Lending Corporation policies and procedures.

In Short

• Prepares closing documents according to state and/or federal regulations.
• Completes the final balanced Closing Disclosure and any Change of Circumstance CD’s.
• Ensures loan package meets compliance guidelines.
• Serves as liaison between ULC and closing agent.
• Completes work within established closing deadlines.
• Works with title companies on loan scheduling, document delivery, final sign-off.
• Meets performance requirements for volume, quality, and timeliness.
• Performs related duties as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required; 4-year college degree preferred.
• 3+ years of mortgage closing experience required.
• Basic knowledge of loan documentation.
• Advanced computer skills (Microsoft Suite) and ability to learn/use new software.
• Familiar with reading and interpreting insurance policies, tax information, prelims, appraisals, and settlement statements.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective communication skills both written and verbal.
• Strong attention to detail, organization skills, and follow-through capabilities.
• Ability to work overtime when necessary.
