Loan Officer - Remote

Overview

The primary function of the Loan Officer is to sell loan products offered by Universal Lending Corporation to buyers of New Home Co.

In Short

• Build rapport with sales agents and maintain a positive sales environment.
• Complete thorough loan applications by communicating with applicants.
• Perform prequalification assessments and analyze financial conditions.
• Negotiate loan rates, terms, and conditions.
• Submit complete loan applications and coordinate with processing centers.
• Assist with processing, underwriting, and closing issues.
• Develop knowledge of the financial industry and market conditions.
• Maintain compliance on all loan files and pipeline.

Requirements

• Must have an active state MLO license or be willing to obtain it.
• High school diploma or GED required; 4-year degree preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of lending origination experience.
• Working knowledge of Encompass or other LOS systems.
• Proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to negotiate and produce positive outcomes.
• Effective listening and customer service skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to maintain strong partnerships with builders and customers.
• Ability to ensure customer satisfaction throughout the sales process.
