Overview

The National Evaluation Consultant will support UN Women in conducting evaluations related to gender equality and women's empowerment in the Pacific region. This role is home-based with potential travel for specific assignments.

In Short

  • Support evaluation team leaders in conducting evaluations.
  • Provide technical and operational support throughout the evaluation process.
  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis.
  • Contribute to high-quality evaluation outputs and reports.
  • Work collaboratively with UN Women offices and evaluation teams.
  • Engage with stakeholders to ensure inclusive evaluation processes.
  • Maintain compliance with UN Women evaluation standards.
  • Participate in meetings and consultations during Asia-Pacific working hours.
  • Contract duration is up to 100 working days over two years.
  • Home-based position with occasional travel required.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in relevant fields or equivalent experience.
  • 5-7 years of experience in evaluation or related fields.
  • Strong knowledge of evaluation methodologies and gender issues.
  • Experience with qualitative and quantitative research methods.
  • Ability to synthesize complex information into clear findings.
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of Pacific languages is an advantage.
  • Experience with UN organizations is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must adhere to ethical standards and UN Women policies.
