Accounts Payable Consultant - Remote

Overview

The Accounts Payable Consultant is responsible for managing financial transactions, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and collaborating with various UN entities to resolve finance-related issues.

In Short

• Review and process invoices based on supporting documents.
• Ensure proper matching of POs and invoices.
• Prepare reports to analyze invoice errors.
• Monitor and report on payment statuses.
• Reconcile general ledger balances regularly.
• Provide financial support to regional and country offices.
• Assist in the preparation of financial indicators and reports.
• Review and approve Partner Advance invoices.
• Maintain a client-oriented approach in all tasks.
• Work collaboratively with various UN entities.

Requirements

• High School completion required; degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
• At least 6 years of relevant finance work experience.
• Proficiency in MS Office and web-based ERP systems.
• Experience in developing financial reports.
• Strong accounting skills and knowledge of financial regulations.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of other UN languages is an advantage.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
