Technical Designer - Remote

Overview

As a Technical Designer at Doka Canada, you will produce AutoCAD / Revit drawings and material lists that represent the proper use of Doka concrete forming equipment for customers. You will provide technical assistance to the sales department from the preliminary stage of a project to its completion.

In Short

• Create AutoCAD / Revit drawings during the proposal stage and finalize working drawings for site use.
• Generate material lists for quotations and shipments to the site.
• Ensure drawings indicate the proper use of Doka forming equipment.
• Provide analysis and design/price calculations as required.
• Ensure designs are based on available inventory and conform to contractual guidelines.
• Act as a mentor for a Junior Technical Designer.
• Participate in job site visits to address implementation issues.
• Engage in company committees and teams for continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor Degree in engineering (civil, construction, structural) or equivalent technical school education.
• 3-5 years of professional experience in concrete forming and design.
• Excellent communication skills in English and French.
• Experienced in AutoCAD and project applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Experience in Revit is an asset.
• Strong analytical skills and effective problem-solving abilities.
• Organized team player in a fast-paced environment.
