Overview

The Access and Reimbursement Manager is a remote, field-based role focused on educating healthcare providers about access and reimbursement for pharmaceutical products, while addressing billing and coding issues and ensuring patient access to therapy.

In Short

  • Provide education on access and reimbursement topics to healthcare providers.
  • Serve as the local market access expert on payer policies and reimbursement processes.
  • Analyze and solve reimbursement issues for patients and practices.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support patient access initiatives.
  • Maintain compliance with healthcare privacy laws and company policies.
  • Travel within assigned territory to meet with healthcare providers.
  • Educate on buy-and-bill processes and reimbursement pathways.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in healthcare practices.
  • Monitor changes in the healthcare landscape affecting reimbursement.
  • Handle patient information with confidentiality and integrity.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, advanced degree preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in reimbursement or pharmaceutical industry.
  • Experience with specialty pharmacy products and billing processes.
  • Knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid policies.
  • Ability to analyze problems and provide solutions.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to travel frequently (at least 50%).
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration abilities.
  • Understanding of patient privacy laws including HIPAA.
