HR Compliance Assistant - Remote

Overview

We’re looking for a detail-oriented, proactive, and compliance-savvy HR Compliance Assistant to join our People Team. This role plays a critical part in ensuring HR-related policies, processes, and platforms meet regulatory requirements and support a consistent and compliant employee experience.

In Short

• Maintain background check program for new hires.
• Support onboarding processes with compliance checks.
• Audit electronic employee files for accuracy.
• Conduct routine checks of HR systems for compliance.
• Coordinate labor law poster updates across sites.
• Assist with internal audits and compliance reviews.
• Work closely with multiple departments for HR operations.
• Handle confidential information with discretion.
• Provide support for HR tech tools.
• Ensure compliance with multi-state HR requirements.

Requirements

• 2 years of experience in HR compliance or operations.
• Experience with HRIS platforms and onboarding tools.
• Strong attention to detail and proactive problem-solving.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Comfortable handling sensitive data.
• Strong time-management abilities.
• Ability to escalate concerns effectively.
• Experience with multi-state HR compliance is a plus.
• Knowledge of high-risk role frameworks preferred.
