Overview

The HR Assistant is responsible for providing comprehensive HR support, ensuring compliance with regulations, and facilitating recruitment and onboarding processes while maintaining a positive work environment.

In Short

  • Perform HR duties aligned with organizational values.
  • Maintain positive working relationships through effective communication.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other regulations.
  • Assist in staff recruitment and onboarding processes.
  • Manage HR data and reporting using Paylocity and MS Excel.
  • Support performance review and staff event organization.
  • Participate in audits and maintain HR documentation.
  • Travel to locations as needed for HR functions.
  • Build strong relationships with staff and community leaders.
  • Handle sensitive employee information with confidentiality.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR or business preferred.
  • Experience in HR functions and non-profit operations.
  • Strong skills in MS Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Experience with HR software, preferably Paylocity.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing community needs.
  • Remote work capability.
  • Willingness to travel to central NJ offices as needed.
