Data Platform Engineer - Remote

Overview

We are looking for a passionate and skilled Data Platform Engineer to join our diverse Data Platform team. Treatwell is an organisation that is built on data, but we’re just getting started. In this role, you’ll contribute to building and maintaining scalable, secure, and innovative data solutions, ensuring stakeholders have the tools and insights needed for impactful, data-driven decisions.

In Short

• Collaborate with team members to build and maintain a scalable, robust data platform.
• Manage data platform infrastructure and its security.
• Manage Redshift Data Warehouse for smooth performance.
• Own platform observability including health checks and alerting.
• Measure and improve platform performance through system metrics.
• Support Analytics Engineers with data and tooling needs.
• Align infrastructure design with engineering best practices.
• Identify and evaluate emerging technologies for scalability.
• Foster a data-driven culture in decision making.
• Contribute towards the strategy and direction of the Data Platform.

Requirements

• Experience with data integration tools (Airbyte preferred).
• Proficient in Python and building scalable data tools.
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.
• Familiarity with GitLab CI for CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience managing data platform infrastructure and Redshift.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools like Prometheus and Grafana.
• Strong team player in Agile environments.
• Exceptional problem-solving abilities.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes is a plus.
• Fluent in English.
