Overview

The Technical Support Specialist will be responsible for troubleshooting and supporting consumer tech devices, particularly smart headwear and VR headsets, for at-home study participants while ensuring data integrity and quality.

In Short

  • Work primarily remote with occasional onsite visits in San Diego.
  • Full-time temporary employment for 6 weeks starting June 18th, 2025.
  • Hourly rate of $30 USD.
  • Assist participants with device setup and troubleshooting.
  • Develop and deploy surveys for study participants.
  • Perform initial data analysis and clean-up.
  • Conduct regular data uploads and reporting to clients.
  • Maintain documentation of support interactions and survey responses.
  • Collaborate with the project team for technical operations success.
  • Clear communication with non-technical audiences.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in technical support or IT helpdesk.
  • Familiarity with VR headsets and smart wearables.
  • Strong problem-solving and detail-oriented skills.
  • Experience with survey and data cleaning tools.
  • Ability to communicate technical information clearly.
  • Comfortable working independently or in a remote team.
  • Basic understanding of data privacy protocols.
