Overview

This Sales Representative role at Top Hat offers the chance to change the future of education by managing your own territory and building relationships with colleges and universities.

In Short

  • Develop professional relationships with professors and convert them into clients.
  • Spend 40%-50% of your time on campus; up to 75% during peak sales seasons.
  • Find and close new business opportunities in assigned accounts.
  • Represent and sell Top Hat's digital content and SaaS platform.
  • Work closely with Customer Success Managers to ensure a great customer experience.
  • Utilize inside and outside sales techniques to position Top Hat’s value proposition.
  • Requires local candidates from the Greater Austin area due to travel requirements.
  • 2+ years of sales experience, preferably selling to professors on campus.
  • A valid Driver’s License is required for campus travel.
  • Work in a metrics-driven environment and handle objections positively.

  • Experience in a sales role with a focus on higher education.
  • Strong sales skills including closing complex deals.
  • Ability to interpret and quickly apply feedback.
