Field Service Engineer - Remote

Overview

TOMRA is seeking a Field Service Engineer to join our team in Italy. As a key member, you will be responsible for providing support to our customers mainly in the North-West of Italy. This role is ideal for those with an adventurous spirit, as there will be lots of travel, mainly domestic across Italy and occasional trips abroad.

In Short

• Installation, commissioning, maintenance, optimization and repair of sensor-based sorters at TOMRA Recycling installation bases.
• Ensuring maximum performance of TOMRA sorting systems in the field.
• Delivering exceptional customer experiences through effective communication and support.
• Optimizing of the sorting systems / process by sampling and testing.
• Identifying opportunities to add value to our customers businesses through the introduction of complementary TOMRA products, solutions and services.
• Acting as a link between our customers and Head Quarters – collecting and providing feedback from the market.

Requirements

• Completed secondary technical school (FP2) or higher with a specialization in electrician/electronics, automatics, industrial maintenance, or a related field.
• Reside within approximately 200 km radius of Milan area.
• Willingness to travel 80% or more within Italy.
• Work experience in an industrial environment with a focus on on-site preventive and curative maintenance would be a big plus.
• In-depth knowledge of electrical systems and troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in computer programs, PC configuration, network structures.
• A certain talent for communication when dealing with people - in our case these are customers.
• Native in Italian and proficient in English.
• Full clean driving license required.
• Knowledge of recycling processes is a plus.
