Manufacturing Material Support Representative (Contractor) - Remote

Overview

The Phoenix Group is looking for a Technical Customer Services Representative to partner with our customers in the Lansing, Michigan area. This independent service representative will coordinate and direct a variety of strategic processes and customer satisfaction projects regarding steel/raw material quality and customer manufacturing processes from start to finish.

In Short

• Communicate with internal customers throughout the manufacturing process.
• Understand and follow all safety protocols at work facilities.
• Ensure customer satisfaction with material performance and characteristics.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors for project resources.
• Measure performance and maintain internal tracking sheets.
• 40 hours per week of on-site direct support required.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in manufacturing/quality.
• Prior experience in steel making and awareness of steel imperfections.
• Strong relationship-building skills and ability to work in a team.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong computer knowledge, especially in Excel.
• Detail-oriented with a strong initiative.
