Overview

The Phoenix Group is seeking a Technical Customer Services Representative to partner with customers in the Lansing, Michigan area, focusing on steel/raw material quality and customer manufacturing processes.

In Short

  • Coordinate and direct customer satisfaction projects.
  • Serve as a product expert at customer locations.
  • Lead problem-solving methodologies for product non-conformance.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction with material performance.
  • Manage resources for various projects.
  • Track and report progress to clients and leadership.
  • Work 40 hours per week on-site with remote documentation support.
  • Independent consultant role with a 1099 status.
  • Must follow safety protocols and wear PPE in the plant.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in manufacturing/quality.
  • Experience in steel making and awareness of steel imperfections.
  • Press and Diemaker experience preferred.
  • Strong time management and task prioritization skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills, especially with Excel.
  • Detail-oriented with a proactive approach.
  • Ability to work well in a team setting.
  • On-call availability for problem resolution.
  • Background in quality, metallurgy, or manufacturing engineering.
